Thanks for stopping by! Here's just a little about me (as weird as it feels to write about myself).
I'm a follower of Jesus Christ, husband to one amazing wife, father to two adult kids, executive director of Timberline Ranch (a Christian Camp & Retreat Centre), author, and wanna-be musician. I currently sit on three boards (aside from Timberline): Christian Camping International-Canada, British Columbia Camps Association, and Northwest Langley Baptist Church (as elder and chair).
I am most passionate about seeing people transformed through the Gospel. Life is full, and God is good! I also enjoy time spent with family, travelling, hiking, kayaking, playing guitar, listening to various forms of music, planning just about anything (but especially travel), European board games, and seafood. Mmm. Love seafood.
My first book, Pillow Fights & Sleepless Nights: Thriving as a Christian Camp Leader, was published in 2018 and came from 30+ years of camp experience and training young leaders. It is a teaching tool for those wanting to work at a camp, especially cabin-leading. Numerous camps are using it for their staff training and/or leadership training programs.
My current book project is entitled, Two Paths. I have now completed a first draft and hope to have it out in the next few months. It is primarily a book on living wisely - choosing the best paths in life. I'm pretty excited about it!
I never intended to become an author, but writing has become a passion for me. I feel that writing pursued me, rather than the other way around.
Please feel free to connect with me at any time (Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, email, etc.), and I will try to pass on my rather limited wisdom. I am also sometimes available for speaking engagements. My time is certainly limited, but as God provides, I can be available.
Always remember, God is good. The rest is details.
